Travel Vlog: Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York and drive to Vermont

Join me as I explore more of New York, watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and drive upstate to Vermont.

This vlog covers our last two days in New York. We were so busy and had a very tight schedule which got in the way of doing more filming so this video is a little bit different to my normal ones.

We explore the area around Fifth Avenue and Central Park including sights such as the Rockefeller Center and the Empire State Building, and the following day enjoyed watching the parade before our long drive up to Vermont to spend Thanksgiving with the Stone Family who own Vermont’s largest turkey farm.

This trip was one to remember and we had such a great time that we plan on going back as soon as possible. Expect a lot more video’s on the next one!

Travel Vlog: First Day in New York visiting One World Trade Center and the 9/11 Memorial

It’s me! Matt Stone. Join me as I explore the sights of downtown New York City.

It’s our first full day in New York City and we’re off to ascend the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, One World Trade Center. It had always been a dream of mine since I was young to visit the World Trade Center towers so being able to visit the new tower allowed me to make one of my dreams come true. We also visited the 9/11 Memorial Museum which was a very moving experience, in fact the majority of this vlog is the raw un-edited (mostly) footage I took whilst looking around the museum. If you ever visit New York City I’d highly recommend visiting the memorial, it’s a different kind of tourism but we spent about 3 hours there and learnt a lot of new things about that tragic day in 2001.

Travel Vlog: Showering naked at the Blue Lagoon in Iceland!

It’s me! Matt Stone. Join me as I travel to the land of fire and ice for my honeymoon.

It’s our fifth and last day in Iceland. We travel to the famous Blue Lagoon, an open air spa created from the silica rich water run off from the Geothermal power plant that sits next door. Dianne discovers that showering naked in front of strangers isn’t as bad as the internet makes out, and we get face masks made from the silica and algae that occurs naturally on the lava field.

Travel Vlog: Journey to the Eyjafjallajökull Volcano in Iceland (almost)

It’s our fourth and last full day in Iceland and today we travelled to the South of the country on the hunt for the Eyjafjallajökull volcano. You may not recognise the name of this volcano but you’ll certainly remember the effects it’s 2010 eruption had on major flight routes between Europe and North America, airspace was closed across Europe for several days!

We didn’t quite make it all the way to the volcano as we were on a strict timescale and had to be back in time for our Northern Lights tour. We then travelled up the mountain and were treated to a stunning light display courtesy of mother nature, we were very lucky as many people visit this part of the world and don’t get to see them.
