It’s me! Matt Stone. Join me as I travel to the land of fire and ice for my honeymoon.
Side Note: This vlog is a tribute to Casey Neistat, whose daily vlogs (especially the travel ones) continue to inspire me. Don’t expect this style on future vlogs, that wouldn’t be very original of me!
We start off in the Bloc Hotel at Gatwick where we had stayed the previous day after watching the Lion King Musical in London, we then checked into the No. 1 Lounge in the North Terminal and flew to Reykjavik in Iceland.
When we arrived I thought I heard the pilot say the wind was gusting 6-8mph, it turns out he said 68mph! I’ve never stepped outside into such bitter cold and I was wearing full winter gear, I’m just hoping the wind drops enough to fly my new DJI Mavic Pro (subscribe to get notifications when I post the next episodes).

about 7 years agoHi Kim, on our trip we only managed to drive the Golden Circle which is a circular route in the South West that you can do easily in a day and see some amazing sights such as Thingvellir National Park where two tectonic plates of the mid-atlantic ridge are slowly pulling apart, the spectacular Gullfoss Waterfall and the Geysir Geothermal Hot Springs. You can see our other video where we visited these places here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3cOxUNH464 For our next trip we've been reading this great article over at Expert Vagabond which has some great tips on what to see on the main ring road around Iceland: https://expertvagabond.com/ring-road-trip-iceland/
